Are you ready for real change?
I am, too! As a psychologist and sex therapist, what most excites me is helping my clients create the kind of change that makes them happier, more fulfilled individuals, both in and out of the bedroom. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your sex life, for any reason, I want to help you--and your partner--stop hurting and start enjoying one of life's true pleasures.
My interest in sex therapy began several years ago when I worked with an endocrinologist, a medical doctor that specializes in hormones. I was able to combine my unique background as a couples therapist with my knowledge as a health psychologist to help men, women, and couples with all kinds of sexual problems.
While I will work with almost any type of sexual dysfunction, I have a special interest in helping women who have painful sex; couples that have had their sex life affected by chronic illness and cancer; men and women recovering from sexual abuse; and working with couples that have stopped having sex altogether or that have mismatched desire. I also enjoy working with clients from diverse cultures and religious backgrounds. Also anyone, of any sexual orientation, is welcome.
When I'm not working with clients, I am reading and writing about my favorite topic, sex of course! I do enjoy, however, a life outside of my practice. I have been married to my husband for nearly 25 years and we have a teenage daughter. In my spare time I love taking photographs, visiting art museums, and listening to world music.
The Buehler Institute also employs two wonderful interns. Kirstee Williams and Liz Dube see clients Dr. Buehler is unable to see due to scheduling or the need for lower-fee services. Dr. Daniel additionally serves as an adjunct professor of marriage and family therapy. She completed her masters and doctorate degrees through Pepperdine University.
Liz Dube' works in the Newport Beach office as a marriage and family therapist intern specializing in sex therapy.
