Here’s a link to a piece of research that makes sense–and may give parents of teens some hope. When teenage girls are involved in romantic relationships, they are more likely to seek out birth control. That’s because when a girl knows and trusts her partner, she is more likely to communicate about the need for safe sex. Teenage girls in casual relationships with teen boys or who date older boys or men are less likely to use birth control.
